Ellen Wimer PT, DPT - Owner

Ellen Wimer, PT, DPT earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2010) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2012) from Widener University. She is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in Pennsylvania with direct access certification.

Ellen has advanced training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute and the Institute for Birth and Healing. She is a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, with expertise in holistic postpartum care, including manual therapy techniques to address the open birthing pattern.

With over 13 years of experience across diverse clinical settings, Ellen integrates physical and psychological perspectives to promote overall wellbeing. Her approach is holistic, root-cause-focused, and grounded in compassion.

Her areas of special interest include perimenopause, menopause, and female longevity; pregnancy and postpartum fitness; diastasis recti and pelvic organ prolapse; breastfeeding ergonomics; cesarean recovery; and athletic performance in female athletes of all ages.

Ellen has been married to her high school sweetheart for over a decade and is the proud mom of four energetic kids—three boys (ages 10, 8, and 6) and a one-year-old daughter—all born via cesarean. When she’s not supporting their hybrid schooling or cheering them on at sports games, she enjoys watching her husband coach and compete in bike races. A lifelong athlete herself, Ellen has a passion for endurance sports and stays active training for triathlons, half marathons, playing in an adult field hockey league, and weightlifting.
